Join us for Oktobermoot 2011
Iðavelli Hof's Oktobermoot will take the same format as our past Þings (but in cooler weather). Planned events include blóts, sumbl, workshops, and seiðr. Members and non-members are welcome and encouraged to attend all parts of the moot.
When, Where, and What:
Octorbermoot will take place on October 28-30 at Camp Royall near Pittsboro, NC. Camp Royall has heated & cooled cabins, activity buildings, a large mess hall with a fully equipped (and modern) kitchen. Here's what we have planned for the moot:
- Blóts: After dinner on Friday, we will hold a Winternights blót.
- Spæ (oracular Seiðr): Friday night, the Hof's seiðr group will offer a spæ session for those attending the moot.
- Sumbl: After dinner on Saturday, we will sit at sumbl together, celebrating our deeds and looking forward to the year to come.
- Workshops: During the moot, we will have four workshops on offer:
- Winternights traditions
- Freyja Blót
- Rune Suncatchers ($5 fee) - Learn how to paint glass to look like stained glass by making your own rune suncatcher. Participants will take home a completed 4" high by 2" wide beveled glass suncatcher with a hanger and suction cup to hang it in their window. Choose your rune and your colors. Participation limited to the first 15 to register.
- Wyrd and Oath
- Games and Free Time: We will have tafl sets and kubb available for folks to play during free time.
- Hof Members' Meeting: Saturday morning will be the Hof's Membership Meeting.

Registration:
Pre-registration is required to attend the moot.
The registration deadline is Oct 23rd, 2011.

Registration costs are as follows:

| Children (6-12), both nights: | $60 |
| Children (6-12), one night: | $30 |
| Children (0-5): | free |
| Day Rate (1 day, no overnight): | $40 |
| Workshop Fee (Rune Sun catchers): | $5 |
All of the following are included in the price of attendance:
- Cabin Camping (with hot showers in the bath house)
- Meals (dinner on Friday, breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday)
- Participation in all activities, including blót, sumbl, spæ, and workshops (except as noted in the registration fees).
- NOTE: Members who are unable to attend the entire moot may attend the membership meeting only at no cost.
Things to Bring:
- Sheets, blankets, and pillows for the cabins (note: tent-camping is not allowed)
- Drinking horn and other ritual items
- Clothes, toiletries, and personal items
- Snacks and extra drinks, if desired
