Rede Meeting Minutes 20th July 2008 Redesfolk Present: Dan, Jenn, Phil, Jag, Ana Previous meeting's minutes unanimously approved. Note: Dan to go through old meeting minutes to pick up old threads that require completion. I. Roles for Upcoming year: Wealthwarder - Phil Ristakona - Jenn Redespeaker - Dan Librarians - Eric and Ana IT support - Phil (since he owns the servers) Site Updates - Jag (with Ana as official reminder nag) Blót coordinator - Stacey II. Rede Business from Email Deposit slips (so Phil can made deposits at night), $20 expense, unanimously approved Þing budget: $240 disbursement for food and crafts was pre-approved Hof chest purchase was approved on 25 Feb (prior to purchase) In the future, the ristakona will add email business to the end of the following meeting's minutes. III. Þing Wrap-up Preliminary financial report provided by Phil Food: there were a few leftovers, but not everyone who registered ate all the meals that they had paid for. How-tos: Jenn sent in food document already, Jag will prepare site locating document, and Phil and Steph will do the communications document. Feedback was collected and compiled by Dan from all attendees. Sites - we should check into the US Army Corps of Engineers sites at Kerr Lake. Steph will research these to present to the rede at the next meeting. IV. Budget Phil prepared a preliminary budget report for the 2007-2008 fiscal year. The rede approved $1646.40 in expenses this year; we spent $1066.41 of that. A large chunk of what wasn't spent was to file 501c3 paperwork, and that needs to carry over to this year's budget as it hasn't been filed. Phil expects final report to be ready within two weeks. Until we have a budget, $25 per blót is unanimously approved by the rede. We may want to consider office-specific discretionary budgets, such as one for the ristakona which includes mailbox and postage fees, etc. V. Hof Calendar Stacey will plan the July blót. Since we couldn't make mead at the Þing, we will make it at the July blót. Events which the hof is either hosting or participating in this year (and which therefore belong on the calendar): Monthly Blóts, 2009 Þing, Yule, winternights, Pagan Pride Day, Spirit Quest, Apple Dale Moot, Southeast Folkmoot, Trothmoot, East Coast Thing, and Easter. VI. Next Meeting Dan will send out an email and sort out schedules to determine the time of the next meeting.
